Learning Guide
Learn Kashmiri With Short Everyday Phrases
Spoken Kashmiri is easiest to learn in small, useful sentences. Start with greetings, family phrases, directions, and polite requests. Translate one sentence at a time, listen to the result, and repeat it aloud before moving to a new phrase.
How to use the translator well
Choose English, Hindi, or Auto detect before translating. Use English for phrases you learned in school or at work, and use Hindi when the thought comes naturally in Hindi. The site converts the input into Kashmiri script and can generate spoken Kashmiri audio for listening practice.
Practice set
- Greetings: hello, how are you, good morning, good night.
- Family: my name is, where are you, please call me, I am coming.
- Travel: where is the market, how much is this, please speak slowly.
- Respectful phrases: thank you, excuse me, please help, I understand.
Important limits
Machine translation can miss tone, gender, region, honorifics, and idioms. Use this site as a learning companion, not as a certified translator. For formal documents, health information, legal text, or poetry, ask a fluent Kashmiri speaker to review the result.
